Over and out…

Wow what a start to the season, honestly so proud of our new team.

We hit the ground running on Friday posting the quickest time with the car and myself really dialling into the track. 

Qualifying on Saturday morning was really tricky with so many cars on track. We got an early banker to put us quickest early on in the session, as the track rubbered I got blocked on my second run and aborted the lap. P2 was a great result nevertheless.

In race one, we had a great launch off the line, taking the lead by the first corner. It was tricky dealing with the G56s - I had pulled a small gap by the half way stage and was managing the tyres, when the G56s tyres started falling off and they were backing me up into the chasing pack. At this point I had to attack and defend, fortunately getting past the G56 in front and pulling a small gap once again, to take mine and Wolf Motosport’s first Ginetta SuperCup win.

What a way to start the year! The behind-the-scenes effort from everyone has been unreal.

The clutch plate starting slipping at the very beginning of race two and we lost the lead at the start of the race, but coming home in P2 was another great result.

We knew there wouldn’t have been enough time to swap the faulty parts out before the final race, so with damage limitation in mind, we decided to roll the dice and go for it.  

Unfortunately, the problem had inevitably worsened and I got stuck in forth gear unable to use full throttle, luckily the wet conditions were a small silver lining and we managed to bring the car home. We scored 4th place to cap off an incredible season opening weekend!

The hard work over the winter has paid off, now the work to get to round two at Oulton Park starts. We are currently looking for partners to come onboard and become part of this incredible team and join us on our journey.
