Where did that weekend go!
We turned up to Thruxton super confident of a strong result.
Definitely my favourite track, nowhere else do you get near the speeds we hit here. 235 KPH out the back before we hit the brakes hard for the final chicane.
In Friday practice we had an apparent car issue with the rear end being too grippy and giving us a shed load of understeer. We changed everything on the car but couldn’t get to the bottom of it.
It was a bit of damage limitation weekend from that point in. In race one the power steering failed and we had to pit, which was unfortunate, but fired me up for race two!
Even carrying a car issue, we got the Billy Ruffian SuperCup car up from last to 7th. A great result considering! The team and myself were confident they could fix the issue for the third and final race.
Again I was super excited to get going, I really believed we could get involved at the front. Unfortunately, I was collected in somebody else’s accident which bent the rear tracking and I had to retire immediately.
Silver linings - I am super happy where I am with the team, we don’t need any good luck just no bad luck please.
Looking forward to getting stuck in at the next meeting. Thanks for all the support, always appreciate it.
