Two legends. One of Formula 1’s greatest finishes. A bottle with documented auction provenance.

Nigel Mansell arrived at the 1992 Monaco Grand Prix having won the first five races of the season. He led on the streets of Monte Carlo until a late pit stop put Ayrton Senna ahead. Mansell caught him and attacked through the closing laps, but Senna held on to win by just 0.215 seconds.

Offered for sale is the original Moët & Chandon Monaco Grand Prix podium champagne bottle presented to Mansell, signed by both Mansell and Senna in gold pen.

The bottle is pictured and identified in a 1998 Sotheby’s Formula 1 memorabilia auction catalogue, which accompanies the sale. Also included are a period photograph showing Mansell beside a Monaco podium bottle and a 1992 Monaco Grand Prix VIP paddock pass.

The Sotheby’s catalogue provides a documented link to this particular bottle’s auction history. Together with the signatures and accompanying items, it makes for an exceptional display piece associated with two of Formula 1’s most celebrated drivers and an unforgettable Monaco Grand Prix.
