Jean-Pierre Beltoise dominated the saturated Monaco Grand Prix of 1972, driving his BRM P160 he out drove the entire field leading the race from the first corner. The winning car is depicted as it plunges downhill from Casino Square to Mirabeau followed by the Ferrari of Jacky Ickx and Brian Redman's McLaren. In a virtuoso performance of car control in atrocious conditions, Beltoise scored a famous victory, Ickx being the only other driver to finish on the same lap.
