Wow what a mad weekend! Practice was on a Thursday this time around and straight out of the blocks we showed massive promise. In the top 3 for both sessions, I had a great feeling in the car and was super confident of building on this to cement another great weekend.
We opted to roll out late into the qualifying session to put a last min lap in when the track was at its best. Unfortunately, another car span and I had to back off through the yellow flag sector, resulting in a 6th place. Not too shabby but we all knew it should have been more!
Even starting 6th, I was confident of a good result and forward progress in the Billy Ruffian racing car. You’re not going to believe the next bit! On the warm up lap I felt the car wasn’t handling correctly and was very lively. Unfortunately, this was the result of a puncture, followed by an exploding tyre and I had to retire the car. Race two believe it or not we also picked up a puncture.
